Job summary

ACCIONA in Atlanta seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to lead traffic control on the SR400 Express Lanes Project. You will plan and oversee TTC/MOT operations, ensuring safety and compliance with GDOT standards throughout construction.

This role requires coordinating with GDOT, law enforcement, subcontractors, and utilities, managing lane closures and sign deployment, and mentoring crews toward best practices in traffic safety.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer with Civil Engineering degree and 7–10 years' experience in traffic control.
• ATSSA TCS certification or GDOT equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of MUTCD and GDOT standards.
• Experience coordinating with GDOT, law enforcement, and contractors.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor TCPs in line with GDOT and MUTCD standards.
• Coordinate with GDOT, law enforcement, subcontractors, utilities, and local stakeholders.
• Supervise traffic control crews and ensure proper deployment of signs, barricades, and flaggers.
• Schedule lane closures, detours, and shift changes to maintain safe traffic flow.
• Maintain records of traffic control activities, incidents, and equipment use.
• Review project schedules to anticipate disruptions and mitigate impacts.
• Conduct field inspections for TCP compliance and rectify issues.
• Manage inventory of traffic control devices and equipment.
• Train team members and subcontractors on safety and compliance.
