Job summary

ACCIONA is a global leader in regenerative infrastructure, driving the SR400 Express Lanes Project in metro Atlanta. The Superintendent will supervise production crews and subcontractors, ensuring GDOT, Davis-Bacon, and SR400 standards are met on assigned scopes.

You will plan work methods and sequence resources, lead planning meetings, review drawings, drive safety, enforce quality plans, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to meet budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy civil construction; DOT highway/bridge work preferred.
• 3+ years in construction management or supervisory role.
• Experience on large-scale DOT or federally funded projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily project work and coordinate with engineers, estimating, field operations, and subcontractors to ensure GDOT and SR400 Constructors standards.
• Plan and sequence work methods, equipment, materials, and labor resources to meet production and safety requirements.
• Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings with crews; document progress and field notes using project-approved reporting systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, and phasing; communicate hazards and ensure site safety plans are followed.
• Coordinate with internal equipment teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure proper resources are in place to meet production and budget targets.
• Anticipate and mitigate schedule risks; provide technical recommendations for alternative methods and constructability solutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal wage and hour requirements, including certified payrolls and subcontractor compliance monitoring.
• Support and enforce SR400 Constructors’ Safety Program and project quality control plans.
• Supervise and evaluate craft employees and subcontractor crews, providing feedback and training recommendations.
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities with project management and GDOT representatives.
• Uphold SR400 Constructors’ values of safety, quality, integrity, and teamwork.
