Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a hands-on Traffic Control Manager to lead dispatch and field operations for heavy civil construction projects across Southern California. You will oversee daily traffic control operations, coordinate crews/equipment, and ensure safety/compliance with Caltrans, MUTCD, and project specs.

The role is exempt, full-time, emphasizing 75% dispatch/coordination and 25% field work, with travel to active sites and flexible hours including early mornings and nights when required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of traffic control operations experience.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of California MUTCD, Caltrans Standards, Traffic Control Plans, WATCH Manual.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily traffic control operations across multiple active projects.
• Dispatch traffic control crews, trucks, signs and equipment based on project needs.
• Develop and coordinate daily crew schedules and equipment assignments.
• Adjust manpower, equipment and assignments as changes occur (callouts, emergencies, etc.).
• Communicate scope, requirements and instructions to Foremen and Crew Leads.
• Review TCPs and ensure field installations comply with approved plans.
• Visit active sites to monitor performance, safety and compliance.
