Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in Southern California seeks an experienced Traffic Control Manager to oversee daily traffic control operations across heavy civil construction projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining dispatch, scheduling, and field oversight to ensure safe, compliant work zones. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in traffic control operations, ATSSA TCS certification, and strong knowledge of Caltrans standards, MUTCD, and TCPs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of traffic control operations experience.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification required.
• Strong knowledge of California MUTCD, Caltrans Standards, and Traffic Control Plans.
• Experience with lane closures, detours, work-zone safety, and sign placements.
• Ability to dispatch multiple crews and coordinate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily traffic control operations across multiple heavy civil projects.
• Dispatch crews, trucks, signs, and equipment based on project needs.
• Develop and coordinate daily crew schedules and equipment assignments.
• Adjust staffing and equipment for callouts and schedule changes.
• Communicate requirements and site instructions to foremen and crew leads.
• Track crew locations, times, and equipment movements.
• Coordinate lane closures, detours, and work-zone setups.
• Review TCPs and ensure field installations comply with plans.
• Conduct field visits to evaluate safety, productivity, and compliance.
• Lead with safety procedures and incident documentation.
