Job summary

City Rise Safety in California seeks a Traffic Control Lead to supervise on-site traffic control operations, flagging, lane closures, detours, and ensure safety and MUTCD compliance. The Lead trains staff and coordinates with safety and field operations while maintaining job-site compliance through inspections and evaluations.

The role requires LIUNA membership, MUTCD knowledge, ability to read TCPs, strong leadership and customer service, a valid CA driver’s license, and willingness to manage

Qualifications

• LIUNA membership with journey person classification and CBA.
• Caltrans MUTCD knowledge and the ability to read TCPs.
• Able to establish effective working relationships and work independently.
• Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Valid CA driver's license with clean record; able to drive and tow.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the job site and lead the traffic control crew.
• Safely execute flagging setups, lane closures, detours, and closures.
• Provide top-tier customer service with on-time arrival and well-managed work zones.
• Implement Traffic Plans & Permits and conduct JHA and tailgate meetings.
• Maintain safety focus across all functions and communicate with clients.
• Follow MUTCD guidelines for safe work zones and drive company trucks.
• Tow and operate towable equipment; keep equipment organized and running.
• Evaluate employee performance and participate in training and development.
• Other duties as assigned.
