Job summary

City Rise Safety, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Lead to supervise and guide the on-site traffic control crew across California projects. You will ensure safe work zones, coordinate flagging, closures, detours, and compliance with plans and permits. Strong leadership and customer service skills are essential.

The role requires knowledge of MUTCD, plan interpretation, and the ability to train and evaluate staff. A valid CA license and OSHA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LIUNA membership with journey person classification, applicable CBA required.
• Caltrans MUTCD knowledge and ability to read traffic control plans and permits.
• Ability to read and understand TCPs; reads traffic plans and permits.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and others.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record; experience driving medium duty vehicles and towing trailers.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise job site.
• Develop superior knowledge of work zone setup and professional traffic control responsibilities.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers. This includes on-time arrival and well managed work zones.
• Implement Traffic Plans & Permits.
• Complete daily Job Hazard Analysis and conduct tailgate meetings.
• Onsite client contact.
• Maintain a consistent and unrelenting focus on safety throughout all job functions.
• Manage day-to-day work zone set up, maintenance and tear down.
• Drive company trucks; Tow and operate towable equipment.
• Keep equipment in trucks well organized and in working order.
• Evaluate employee performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
