City Rise Traffic in Fremont, CA is seeking a Traffic Control Lead to supervise crews and safely execute flagging, lane closures, detours, and other traffic control tasks across California sites.

The ideal candidate has strong safety records, CALTRANS MUTCD knowledge, LIUNA membership, ATSSA certifications, and the ability to lead on-site with minimal supervision while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• LIUNA membership with journey person classification required
• Caltrans MUTCD knowledge required
• Read and understand TCPs and permits
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to manage high-volume outdoor locations with interruptions
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
• Valid CA driver’s license with clean driving record
• Experience driving medium-duty vehicles and towing trailers
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Supervise job site
• Develop knowledge of work zone setup and professional traffic control responsibilities
• Provide high level customer service with on-time arrival and well-managed work zones
• Implement Traffic Plans & Permits
• Complete daily Job Hazard Analysis and conduct tailgate meetings
• Onsite client contact
• Maintain safety focus across all functions
• Manage day-to-day work zone setup, maintenance and tear down
• Recognize dangers using hearing and vision
• Communicate with customers and team members
• Follow MUTCD guidelines for safe work zones
• Drive company trucks
• Tow and operate towable equipment
• Keep equipment in trucks organized and functional
• Evaluate employee performance
• Other duties as assigned
