Job summary

US Traffic Control, LLC in Crossville - Knoxville is seeking a Flagger to safely direct traffic around construction sites, protecting workers and motorists. The role requires strong situational awareness and the ability to operate radios and basic devices.

You will set up and remove temporary zones, guide traffic and pedestrians, and follow safety manuals. Willingness to travel is appreciated; on-site work with varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• ATSSA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, stop slow paddles, and rumble strips.
• Guide traffic and pedestrians safely through and around the work area.
• Read and comprehend safety manual and employee handbook to comply with policies.
• Communicate to ensure that automobiles and pedestrians do not interfere with laborers and projects.
• Communicate with other flaggers using radios to direct traffic onto a single lane.
• Make decisions on whether to allow cars onto a single lane based on traffic flow.
• Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect safety.
• Other job duties as assigned.
