Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc. is seeking Protectors to join a team at various job sites. No experience or degree is required; safety training is provided. You’ll set up traffic control equipment, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow all safety rules while working outdoors in all weather.

This role offers hourly pay and opportunities to advance with training and certifications. Hours vary, including nights and weekends. A valid driver’s license and ability to stand/walk long shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Flexible schedule; show up on time for every shift.
• Valid drivers license.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds and work in changing weather.
• Follow safety rules at all times and treat others with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades at job sites and take equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow training and safety rules at all times.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• Stand or walk 8–12 hours per shift.
