Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a General Laborer/Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and maintain safety. You will set up signs, cones, and barricades, communicate with motorists, and assist with equipment transport.

Position requires outdoor work in varied weather, ability to stand long hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to travel statewide with some night/weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass background and drug tests are required.
• Must meet federal DOT requirements and wear proper safety gear.
• ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training are preferred, with willingness to travel statewide.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic flow around construction sites and work zones.
• Set up and take down traffic control devices like signs, cones, and barricades.
• Communicate with motorists using hand signals and stop/slow paddles.
• Stand and walk for long periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain equipment.
• Work with contractors and teammates maintaining safety and efficiency.
