RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. seeks a Traffic Control Flagger II to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones in Huntington, WV. The role requires coordinating with crews, setting up signs and cones, and ensuring public and worker safety throughout shifts.

Flexibility for nights, weekends, and travel is essential. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, ability to pass DOT and background checks, and completion of ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements
• Able to wear safety equipment (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest)
• ATSSA Flagger training and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training completed
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required by projects
• Rotating on-call schedule
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic control devices (signs, cones, barricades) to divert traffic around work areas
• Manage traffic flow using stop/slow paddles
• Communicate with contractors and team via two-way radios
• Stand/walk for extended periods; lift over 50 pounds as needed
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to job sites
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and traffic settings
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance on site
