Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger II to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up signs, cones and barricades, communicate with motorists using hand signals and radios, and ensure safety for workers and the public.

The role requires standing long hours, outdoor work in various weather, and willingness to travel statewide with overnight stays. Valid CDL? (Not required in text) and DOT compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• ATSSA Flagger training completed.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required by projects.
• Rotating on-call schedule.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to moving equipment and traffic.
