Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the largest national provider of traffic safety products and services in the United States. The Flagger role focuses on directing traffic around construction zones and ensuring the safety of workers and the public.

Qualifications

• Member of a Chicagoland Laborer's Local.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Background check including motor vehicle records.
• Pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety boots with toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Operate 2-way radio with clear communication.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Excellent attendance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic around construction sites, road maintenance areas, and work zones.
• Set up and take down traffic control signs, cones, and barricades.
• Communicate with motorists using signs, signals, and stop/slow paddles.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift and move items as needed (up to 50 pounds).
• Travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and work nights/weekends as required.
