Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a flagger to direct traffic at construction sites, ensuring safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians and protecting workers.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), be at least 18 years old, able to pass drug screening and background checks, and willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as required. A safety-first mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet attendance schedule with dependability.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
• Knowledge and/or previous related experience in work/construction zones.

Responsibilities

• Maintain traffic controls in all assigned work zones and report issues to supervisor.
• Direct movement of traffic through site using signs, signals, and PPE.
• Assist in placement, moving, and dismantling of traffic control devices (signs, barricades, cones).
• Inform drivers of detour routes and ensure safety of workers and the public.
• Follow foreman instructions and safety policies, and wear required PPE.
