Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services is seeking a Flagger to control and direct traffic around road worksites, set up warning and detour signs, and inform the site crew of hazards. Expect 10-hour workdays and travel between job sites as needed.

Position requires alertness to safety, ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, and willingness to undergo pre-employment checks as applicable. Benefits and a competitive hourly pay rate are offered as part of a broader compensation package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and other certifications obtained during career.

Responsibilities

• Controls movement of vehicular traffic through sites in which utility work is performed.
• Directs movement of traffic through the site using approved traffic signals.
• Moves from job site to job site as necessary.
• Uses a stop and slow paddle and flag, each of which weighs approximately less than 1pound.
• Comply with all safety and health rules.
• Reports all injuries no matter how minor to the Foreperson Immediately.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Performs all work from the ground.
• Working hours are typically a 10-hour day.
• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
