United Shipping and Trading Company seeks a Flagger responsible for directing vehicle traffic around construction sites, ensuring safety for workers and motorists. Responsibilities include setting up work zones, guiding traffic, and communicating effectively with crews.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
• Must pass a Fit-For-Duty physical exam.
• Must have a valid driver's license and provide a driving record.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Willing to travel with paid housing & per diem on special cases.
• Willing to work 8 or 10 hour shifts, weekends if necessary.
• Reliable communication to receive work schedule.
• Provide own steel-toe or composite work shoes.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones and warning signs.
• Guide traffic & pedestrians safely through and around the work area.
• Read and comprehend US Traffic Control’s safety manual.
• Communicate to ensure safety between laborers and motorists.
• Direct two-way traffic onto a single lane using radios.
• Make decisions based on observed traffic flow.
• Inform the construction crew of traffic issues.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
