The Traffic Control Flagger Crew Lead at Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC directs traffic around construction zones and oversees a team of flaggers to keep workers and the public safe. The role requires ongoing certification maintenance and completion of crew lead evaluations during a 60-day probationary period.

Responsibilities include leading crews, mentoring staff, installing traffic devices, documenting activities, and performing flagger duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months of prior experience as a Traffic Control Flagger or Crew Lead.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety regulations.
• Able to work outdoors 8–12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct traffic control crews to ensure safe work zones.
• Train, mentor, and assign crew members.
• Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices.
• Monitor work zones for hazards and report issues.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Perform Traffic Control Flagger duties as needed.
• Maintain required certifications; First Aid/CPR preferred.
