Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to manage traffic around construction zones and protect workers and the public. You will set up signs, cones, and barricades, communicate with drivers, and follow all safety guidelines.

We value a team player with solid attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a willingness to pass a drug screen. CDL/driver’s license preferred for reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around work zones using signs, paddles, or flags.
• Set up and manage temporary traffic control zones per regulations.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure safe traffic flow.
• Monitor traffic and hazards; coordinate with team via radios/hand signals.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols; assist with loading equipment.
