Burgess & Niple, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Engineer Co-op in the Phoenix area.
You will work with experienced staff to gain hands-on experience in traffic design, modeling, and safety analyses, supporting projects for state DOTs and local jurisdictions. The role emphasizes learning design analysis, data collection, and interdisciplinary collaboration while developing technical skills in MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil3D, and related tools.

Gain practical experience in transportation engineering focusing on Traffic projects with our team as a Traffic Engineer Co-op. In this role, you'll work alongside early career and experienced engineers to gain an understanding of traffic design and consulting. You'll gain hands- on experience across areas that could include traffic and capacity studies, crash and safety analysis, traffic modeling or traffic control, while developing the technical skills and problem-solving abilities that will create a foundation for your career.

Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 30 - 40 hours per week. Housing and transportation to/from work is the responsibility of the co‑op, parking is provided.
