Job summary

Burgess & Niple is seeking an Traffic Engineer, Early Career to join our traffic engineering team in Tampa. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with design programs like MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Synchro or Highway Capacity Software a plus
• Genuine interest in traffic engineering and improving traffic safety and efficiency
• Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving

Responsibilities

• Support traffic, roadway, and transportation engineering projects across signal design, signage and markings, maintenance of traffic, ITS, and traffic studies
• Produce plans, specifications, and estimates using MicroStation and OpenRoads
