Timmons Group is seeking a New Graduate Project Engineer I for its Traffic Analysis & Planning group in Richmond, VA. This in-person role offers an early-career path in civil engineering with exposure to design, analysis, and client collaboration.

You will perform calculations, develop plan sets, and support cost estimates while learning from senior engineers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil engineering with transportation coursework.
• EIT or working toward licensure preferred.
• Experience with civil design software and methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design project components using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
• Perform calculations and use engineering formulas to solve problems.
• Research material specifications, installation guidelines and inspection protocols.
• Develop design details and create plan sets for projects.
• Conduct field observation, inspection and data collection as directed by senior staff.
• Collaborate with client staff and internal design teams as required.
• Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports for project success.
