Job summary

Timmons Group seeks a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager - Traffic Analysis and Planning to join the Traffic Analysis and Planning Group in our Richmond, VA office. The role requires managing projects, developing client relationships, and coordinating staff to deliver quality traffic solutions.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of roadway design/traffic engineering experience, P.E./PTOE preferred, and strong grasp of project accounting and marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; professional registration preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in roadway design and traffic engineering, Virginia preferred.
• Strong understanding of project accounting; ability to manage schedules and budgets.
• Experience in marketing and supervising technical staff; client-facing skills.
• Proficient with MicroStation and traffic-analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and develop strong client relationships; ensure quality, schedule and profitability.
• Market and develop business, negotiate scopes and fees, assist in collections when needed.
• Maintain relationships with clients and cross-sell services across teams.
• Lead multiple projects, coordinate staff, and ensure timely delivery.
