Job summary

Morgan McKinley is supporting a leading market infrastructure and financial brokerage firm in a role within a specialised agency execution team. You will support a fast-paced relative value trading desk using low-latency infrastructure and high-frequency algorithms.

Role focuses on L1-L3 production support, system monitoring, reference data operations, and incident resolution in an active trading environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years hands-on Trading Systems / Application Support experience within a broker, bank, hedge fund, or electronic trading venue.
• Direct experience supporting a trading front-end (GUI) and understanding of trading workflows.
• Exposure to fixed income knowledge, FIX protocol, or low-latency environments is a plus.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2/L3 production support for front-to-back trading applications.
• Monitor live order flow and tune alerts and tooling.
• Manage and update critical trading system reference data.

This specific role sits within a specialised agency execution team, supporting a fast-paced relative value trading desk that utilizes proprietary, low-latency infrastructure and custom high-frequency algorithms.

Role Overview

• Desk-Facing Production Support: Provide L1/L2/L3 production support for front-to-back trading applications, working directly alongside brokers, traders, developers, and third-party vendors.
• System Monitoring & Tuning: Continuously monitor live order flow and proactively tune alerts, thresholds, and operational tooling.
• Reference Data Operations: Manage and update critical trading-system reference data.
• Incident Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex production issues under pressure in an active trading environment.
• 2 - 3+ years of hands-on Trading Systems / Application Support experience within a broker, bank, hedge fund, or electronic trading venue.
• Direct experience supporting a trading front-end (GUI) and an understanding of trading workflows.

Preferred / Value-Add Skills

• Fixed Income product knowledge.
