Job summary

DRW, a premier diversified trading firm headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Global Trade Support engineer to sustain production systems across equities, fixed income and crypto assets. You will implement best-in-class deployment, monitoring, and incident response in a multi-platform environment, mainly Linux with some Windows, collaborating with traders, DBAs, and engineering teams worldwide.

You’ll need strong troubleshooting, experience with high-performance applications, and a proactive mindset

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills.
• Experience supporting high-performance trading applications.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and exchange protocols.
• Proficiency with SQL and database maintenance.
• Experience in Linux and Windows in large-scale production environments.
• Ability to work rotating on-call coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-motivated with ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Establish best-in-class production support, deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.
• Ensure maximum trading system availability to avoid missed opportunities.
• Support production systems across multiple asset classes and locations in a multi-platform environment (primarily Linux, some Windows).
• Develop automation and monitoring tools and leverage third-party technologies as appropriate.
• Troubleshoot trading system production incidents from internal or external factors.
• Automate software configuration and rollout procedures to reduce errors.
• Coordinate with exchanges on connectivity and trade activity.
• Collaborate with traders, DBAs, development, back office and global teams.
• Build documentation for procedures, troubleshooting scenarios and system architecture.
• Coordinate with global teams to ensure 24x7 continuity.
