Job summary

DRW in Chicago is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer for the Linux Engineering Team. You will help provide a highly performant, scalable, and stable infrastructure for trading desks and developers, focusing on automation, reliability, and determinism.

You'll collaborate with a global team, configure and maintain Linux environments, monitor health, and contribute to packaging, deployment, and evaluating new technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) in large environments.
• Scripting and automation experience with Bash and Python.
• Extensive Linux support in large HA environments.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat-based and Debian-based platforms (CentOS, Rocky, Alma, Oracle, Ubuntu).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a global Linux Engineering team on projects, changes, and on-call schedules.
• Serve as a liaison between the Linux Engineering team and trading desks.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain Linux environments in a declarative, repeatable manner.
• Monitor health of the Linux server fleet and troubleshoot daily.
• Package applications and maintain software repositories.
