Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Trading Operations Associate on the West Coast to support enterprise clients, handling order entry, execution, best ex, and high‑touch order management. You will monitor activity and resolve issues with trading desks, IT, and compliance.

Collaborate with teams to address client needs, ensure regulatory compliance, and gather feedback to improve services and tools. Remote position with a West Coast focus; 2–3 years in brokerage operations and relevant licenses preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years in brokerage operations, trading, or related field.
• Experience with trading platforms; familiarity with FIX protocol; options a plus.
• FINRA series 7 or 63 (or local equivalent) with willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality support to enterprise-level clients through phone, email, and chat.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to order entry, processing, execution, FIX sessions, and OMS functionality.
• Monitor client trading activity and provide timely alerts; collaborate with trading desks, IT, and compliance to resolve issues.
• Ensure all client interactions and trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
