Job summary

Alpaca, a US-headquartered brokerage infrastructure leader, is seeking a Trading Operations Associate to support enterprise clients with order entry, execution, and compliance. You will monitor trading activity, collaborate with trading desks, IT, and compliance, and help resolve complex issues while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires 2–3 years in brokerage operations, familiarity with FIX, and FINRA licensing or willingness to obtain within 6 months.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in brokerage operations, trading, or a related field.
Proven experience with trading platforms and equities; familiarity with FIX protocol; options experience is a plus.
Must possess FINRA Series 7, 63 or local equivalent with willingness to obtain within 6 months.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Excellent English written and verbal communication; knowledge of additional languages (e.g., Japanese or Korean) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality support to enterprise-level clients via phone, email, and chat.
Monitor client trading activity for anomalies and provide timely alerts.
Collaborate with trading desks, IT, and compliance teams to resolve issues.
Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Gather client feedback and share insights with product development and management teams to refine services and tools.
