Job summary

Shell is seeking a Sr. IT Operations Engineer – Trading support in Houston. You will lead and coordinate small projects, mentor new staff, and serve as a go-to resource on the trading floor.

Expect collaboration with IT Service Desk, Enterprise Services, and Trading users to maintain high operational effectiveness. You will balance urgent user requests with IT policies, apply technical knowledge, and contribute to continuous process improvements in a high-pressure trading environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years desktop or infrastructure support experience, preferably in End-User environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office (M365), Exchange and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective IT floor support to resolve immediate operation issues to minimise impact.
• 1st level troubleshooting for desktop, network, trading-specific packages and information services.
• Act as focal point at local site and mentor new staff; coordinate small projects.
• Maintain relationships with Trading users, IT Service Desk, vendors and IT management.
• Coordinate with Shell IT teams to resolve operational issues and ensure security/compliance processes.
