Job summary

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX seeks an expert to authenticate and evaluate Trading Card Games for auction. You will solicit consignments, build client relationships, respond to leads, and contribute to catalog production and sales with a focus on Yu-Gi-Oh!

and related games. Responsibilities include researching and cataloging items with accuracy, drafting catalog text, and expanding the client database while traveling to meet clients, previews, and trade shows as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a commercial dealer and/or in a major auction house with focus on Trading Card Games (Yu-Gi-Oh!).
• Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, attention to detail, and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Authenticate and evaluate property for auction and establish auction estimates.
• Acquire consignments through Heritage Auctions and independently generated leads.
• Research and catalog property with meticulous accuracy.
• Proof catalog text, images, press releases, consignment and bidding emails, and advertising copy.
• Market auctions and specific auction lots to various clients.
• Contribute to the expansion of the client database.
• Answer inquiries before, during, and after the auction.
• Develop long-term win-win relationships with bidders, consignors, and other specialists.
• Assist and protect Heritage’s clientele and reputation.
• Travel as needed to meet clients and review property for consignment.
• Assist at previews, trade shows, and actively participate in auctions.
• Other duties may be assigned.
