Job summary

Heritage Auctions in New York is seeking a specialist to authenticate and evaluate trading card game items for auction. You will solicit consignments, build client relationships, respond to leads, and participate in catalog production and sales processes to establish a new auction category.

The role requires at least 3+ years in a major auction environment with trading card games experience. Travel to meet clients and attend previews may be necessary, with opportunities to contribute to growth

Qualifications

3+ years experience as a commercial dealer or in a major auction house with a focus on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards is preferred.
Strong communication, multitasking, attention to detail and customer service.
Willingness to travel to meet clients and review property for potential consignment.
Ability to develop long-term relationships with bidders, consignors, consultants, and other specialists.

Responsibilities

Authenticate and evaluate property for auction and establish auction estimates.
Acquire consignments through Heritage Auctions and leads.
Research and catalog property with meticulous accuracy.
Proof catalog text, images, press releases, consignment and bidding emails, and advertising copy.
Market auctions and specific lots to clients; expand the client database.
