Job summary

SmartSource, Glendale Heights, IL, is seeking a Tradeshow Project Manager to ensure flawless event execution from planning to on-site delivery. You will coordinate installation, setup, and support of AV/IT solutions, acting as the primary client contact and aligning with Sales, Solutions Architects, and local operations.

This role requires 3+ years in event management, mastery of IT deployment or tradeshow tech, strong communication and teamwork, and willingness to travel evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the Event Industry including on-the-ground project management.
• Mastery of IT technology deployment, temporary AV installations, or tradeshow technology deployments.
• Proficient with computers and software relevant to event management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Offer input to sales and solutions teams in response to RFPs.
• Plan, organize, and schedule resources to meet deliverables.
• Assist in pre-production planning through show completion.
• Serve as primary client contact before and during events.
• Build and manage a comprehensive project plan.
• Coordinate with clients, sales, solutions architects, and operations.
• Travel to and support event production at various venues.
