Job summary

Glanbia is seeking a Financial Analyst – Trade Spend to manage the clearance of customer deductions, set up promotional codes in the system, and ensure accurate booking of trade accruals. The role requires meticulous review of deductions, coordination with Sales and Customers, and ad‑hoc reporting to compare Actuals vs.

Budget costs. You will work within the Trade Spend team, interact with AR and Sales, and help maintain pricing accuracy at the item level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
• Proficient Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with deduction processing or trade spend is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Assist on Trade Spend Budgeting processes.
• Maintain trade accrual database for reporting by customer and SKU.
• Administer and enforce deduction management policies.
• Review customer deductions for accuracy and validity.
• Process journal entries for deduction clearance and prepare trade accruals.
• Track communications with customers and deduction status.
• Report deduction aging and trends; ensure proper coding to customers, brands and SKUs.
• Identify trends and help implement processes to improve accuracy and efficiency of deductions.
• Collaborate with customers and AR to obtain backup and follow up as needed.
• Support approval of Promotional Activities.
• Upload Promotional codes within SAP.
• Provide ad‑hoc deduction and trade spend reporting and analysis.
