Spindrift Beverage Co, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant focused on trade deductions. This role supports accurate tracking, research, and timely resolution of deductions across Sales, Customer Service and Accounting.

Expect high-volume activity in a fast-moving CPG environment with emphasis on accuracy and internal controls. Responsibilities include processing and reconciling deductions, collaborating with Sales and FP&A to validate plans, and managing month-end close related to trade spending.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or finance experience; experience with trade deductions or chargebacks preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of trade promotion mechanics (off-invoice allowances, scan-backs, bill-backs, MCBs).
• Experience with cash applications, credit memo processing, and GL reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile trade deductions; classify by type and post credit memos with audit trails.
• Collaborate with Sales, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to validate deductions.
• Prepare deduction aging, accruals, and monthly close reconciliations; support audits.
