Job summary

IMC's Middle Office Team is seeking an Operations Analyst to support trade reconciliation and settlement accuracy across platforms, collaborating with trading and IT to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth trade flow. You will build strong foundational knowledge and become a go-to resource, learning from seniors while contributing to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of experience in financial markets or a trading environment preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Experience interacting with trading and/or technology groups.
• Series 99 or 7 or willingness to obtain within first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform intraday and next-day trade reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Calculate and reconcile daily P&L; reconcile monthly invoices with exchanges and counterparties.
• Identify and resolve daily trade and settlement breaks; analyze root causes and drive corrections.
• Understand the trade lifecycle from execution to final settlement, including fees.
• Collaborate with IT and Trading to ensure proper trade flow and onboarding of exchanges and platforms.
• Liaise between clearing firms and trading operations; open new accounts and process transfers.
• Monitor account balances and margin/collateral with Risk team.
• Create reports to support operational and business needs, with an automation mindset.
