Job summary

IMC is seeking an Operations Analyst to support trade reconciliation, settlement accuracy, and P&L calculations within the Middle Office. You’ll help resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth trade flow across platforms in collaboration with trading and IT teams.

You’ll learn from senior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and efficient trade lifecycle management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial markets or a trading environment.
  • Experience interacting with trading and technology groups.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Series 99 or 7 preferred or willingness to obtain within first year.
  • Ability to gather, synthesize, and communicate business requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intraday and next-day trade reconciliation with accuracy.
  • Calculate and reconcile daily P&L and monthly invoices with counterparties.
  • Identify and resolve daily trade and settlement breaks and root causes.
  • Support the trade lifecycle from execution through final settlement.
  • Collaborate with IT and Trading to onboard exchanges and platforms.
  • Liaise between clearing firms and trading operations; manage accounts and transfers.
  • Monitor balances and margin/collateral with Risk.
  • Create ad hoc and recurring reports from large datasets.
  • Foster an automation mindset to improve efficiency.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Interact daily with risk, compliance, finance, and legal teams.
