West Virginia University (WVU) is seeking a Trade Maintenance Mechanic II to perform a range of general construction and building maintenance tasks under the supervision of the Operations Manager and Trades Specialist Lead II. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of general trades/building maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC or related craft trades; or an associate degree/certified program.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• All qualifications must be met by time of employment.

Responsabilités

• Perform carpentry-related maintenance including fabrication/repair of casework, floors, ceilings, doors, trim, and windows.
• Install and repair drywall, walls, panels, and related finishes; construct shelters and access structures.
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on electrical systems including lighting, outlets, and breakers.
• Troubleshoot plumbing including drains, valves, and plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain mechanical systems such as pumps, bearings, and gearboxes.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance including temperature controls and belts.
• Operate as a first responder to odors, leaks, and emergencies.
• Requisition parts and manage inventory; operate state vehicle.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep work areas clean.
• May support other trades and operate various software for maintenance management.
