Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor on tariffs and import requirements. You will identify tariff mitigation opportunities and translate regulatory complexity into practical, cost-saving strategies for our customers and sales teams.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliant import activities while driving value through Section 232 exemptions and FTAs. This role offers high visibility and a direct business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years in international trade compliance or related field.
• Direct experience with Section 232 tariffs.
• Experience with GTM or SAP is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills for trade data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary trade compliance partner for customers, guiding tariffs, import requirements, and duty optimization opportunities.
• Identify, evaluate, and lead tariff mitigation strategies including Section 232 exemptions and FTAs to deliver cost savings.
• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to support negotiations and business reviews.
• Translate complex trade data into clear, actionable business recommendations for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with customs brokers and internal logistics teams to ensure compliant import activities.
