Job summary

AAR is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support our trade compliance program in the United States. The role entails advising brokers, ensuring accurate classification and valuation, and maintaining import/export documentation in line with U.S. laws.

You will work with ITAR/EAR, CFR Titles 15 and 19, and OFAC, while using DECCS, ACE Portal, and other systems to improve processes and compliance. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in US import/export regulations or equivalent education.
• Licensed Customs Broker a plus.
• Familiarity with ITAR/EAR preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear clearance instructions to brokers and carriers.
• Assess risk and monitor countries of concern in transactions.
• Apply US Customs regulations (valuation, classification, trade agreements).
• Audit and maintain records for import/export shipments including licenses.
• Understand CFR Titles 15 and 19, ITAR, EAR, OFAC and industry best practices.
