Job summary

AAR Corp. seeks a Trade Compliance Manager to lead the classification, review, and disposition of import and export transactions. You will ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign trade regulations, determine licensing requirements, and support logistics, brokers, and freight forwarders.

The role requires in-depth ITAR/EAR knowledge, experience in aerospace/defense trade, and the ability to guide program leadership and operations on regulatory interpretations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related field with 7 years export licensing or compliance experience.
• Deep knowledge of DECCS, SNAP-R, ACE, ITAR-EAR and related import/export regulations.
• Minimum five years of direct trade compliance experience in the aero-defense industry with ITAR/EAR and related authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition import/export transactions, determine licensing requirements, and provide shipment clearance instructions.
• Oversee regulatory requirements for company transactions through customs brokers and teams.
• Determine ITAR, EAR, HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN classifications for products and data.
• Support licensing submissions, permits, and technology release determinations; provide regulatory guidance to leadership.
• Maintain trade compliance records and assist in investigations and corrective actions.
• File EEI/ACE as required and coordinate export clearance with forwarders.
