Job summary

Mainstream, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Mobile Technician to perform on-site repairs and preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers, ensuring uptime for fleet operations.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools, weld and fabricate as needed, document work with customers, and travel to client sites with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mobile Technician or similar in automotive/tractor industry.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on tractors and trailers.
• Welding and fabrication knowledge.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to travel and flexible hours.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site repairs and preventive maintenance of tractors and trailers.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.
• Conduct annual inspections as needed for DOT.
• Diagnose issues using Digital Tech and diagnostic software (Cummins Insite, Davie, Acom).
• Repair or replace damaged components; weld and fabricate as needed.
• Maintain documentation for repairs and services using TMT.
• Ensure safety compliance and provide service estimates to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:On-Site Repairs: Travel to different locations to perform on-site repairs and maintenance of tractors and trailers.Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including lubrication, brake adjustments, tire rotations, and other preventive measures to ensure tractor and trailer longevity.Annual Inspection: Conduct inspections as needed for the DOT.Diagnostics: Execute electrical repairs using Digital Tech, software such as (Cummins Insite, Davie, Acom, etc..)Diagnostic Assessments: Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, issues in tractors and trailers.Repair and Replacement: Execute repairs on damaged or malfunctioning trailer components such as brakes, axles, suspensions, electrical systems. Replace faulty parts as needed.Welding and Fabrication: Conduct welding and fabrication tasks for trailer components, ensuring structural integrity and safety compliance.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities. Provide documentation for customer records and internal tracking using TMT.Communication: Communicate effectively to understand issues, explain necessary repairs, and provide estimates for services.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all tasks. Ensure that repaired trailers meet safety standards and regulations.QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Experience: Proven experience as a Mobile Technician or a similar role in the automotive or tractor industry.Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, with both tractors and trailers. Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.Certifications: Relevant certifications in tractor and trailer maintenance and repair are highly desirable.Customer Service: Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and find effective solutions.Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina.Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
