As a trainee, you may work outdoors and across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends. Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights/weekends if needed.
• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to read documents in English.
• Ability to wear protective PPE.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Shadow a senior team member to learn repairs to company and manufacturer specifications, complete work orders, and train to meet standard repair times.
• Follow shop safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Train to be efficient in preventive maintenance and basic repairs related to air brake systems and FHWA inspections.
