Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Tractor Technician Trainee in Maintenance. This part-time role focuses on foundational shop knowledge, safety, and company policies while gaining hands-on exposure to tools and procedures.

Under supervision, you will learn air brake systems, FHWA inspections, and related repairs, with potential outdoor work and shifts that may include nights, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed

Responsibilities

• Shadow a more seniored team member to learn to perform repairs to company and manufacturer’s specifications complete work orders, and train to be efficient in company requirements forstandard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
• Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers at all times
• Train to become efficient in routine preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, basic repair as it pertains to air brake systems and FHWA Inspections
