Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and equipment under routine supervision.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete fleet maintenance processes, and ensure units meet company specifications. The role may involve outdoor work, shift variability, and overtime. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of semi-tractor maintenance or military experience, A/C and DOT/FHWA inspection know-how, and basic tools

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in semi-tractor maintenance or military equivalent.
• A/C Certification and DOT/FHWA inspections experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts, and more difficult repairs on tractors.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring Tractor Technician trainees.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues; work independently and seek assistance as needed.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Perform intermediate repairs to specifications and complete work orders.
