Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance and repair of tractors, trailers, chassis, and power equipment at customer sites or rail yards.

The role operates a mobile service truck under routine supervision, with opportunities to mentor trainees and support safety protocols. The ideal candidate brings experience in semi-tractor maintenance, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors and across shifts.

Qualifications

• A clean motor vehicle record as per company policy.
• Ability to supply basic tools or participate in toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible scheduling including nights or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, chassis, or power equipment.
• Troubleshoot ABS systems and perform electrical diagnostics.
• Operate mobile service truck and manage truck inventory.
• Mentor tractor technician trainees and assist with onboarding.
• Document work orders and repair costs accurately.
