Job summary

Central Transport is seeking skilled automotive mechanics to join our nationwide LTL fleet maintenance team in Vandalia, OH. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical and drivetrain systems on Class 8 tractors and trailers, ensuring safety and reliability of our equipment.

We offer industry-leading pay starting at $34/hour, company-paid training, medical/dental coverage, PTO, Bereavement and Jury Duty leave, plus uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience
• ASE certification preferred but not required
• Basic set of tools

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
