Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a Forklift Service Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance on our fleet of electric forklifts in Hillside, NJ. You will troubleshoot electrical issues, inspect batteries, and conduct brake and tire work to keep equipment operating safely.

The role offers competitive pay starting at $28+ per hour with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and uniforms provided as part of a strong benefits package designed to support our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 1 year of forklift mechanic experience.
• Basic set of tools.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• All forklift repairs needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
• Component rebuild and hydraulic repair.
• Perform routine maintenance such as checking batteries, lubricating equipment, and machinery.
• Tire changes.
• Brakes.
• Bolt-on components.
