Job summary

This federal position at Trident Lakes Golf Course Branch supports Morale, Welfare and Recreation at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. You will lead tractor operators, train greenskeepers, and ensure proper use of mowers, trucks, and power equipment to maintain golf course grounds.

Responsibilities include operating gas/diesel tractors, maintaining irrigation, applying chemicals, and teaching safety practices. Work is outdoors with varied conditions and requires a state driver license.

Qualifications

• Need experience operating golf course mowing and related equipment.
• Ability to train others in safe operation of tools and machinery.
• Capable of following safety protocols and directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-based mowers and power equipment; instruct others in use.
• Maintain tees, greens, fairways, and hazards; perform repairs as needed.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides per manufacturer guidance.
• Maintain irrigation and watering systems; perform site clean-up and debris removal.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools.
