Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) is seeking a Grounds and Equipment Operator at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi to maintain grounds and RV park areas. You will operate tractors and attached equipment, perform routine maintenance, and follow safety procedures while working on varied terrains.

Responsibilities include selecting gear and speed settings, connecting implements, and performing related grounds maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Specialized experience directly related to operating tractors and attached equipment.
Ability to operate boom slope mowers and adjust controls while in motion.
Knowledge of connecting hydraulic lines and drive shafts between tractor and implements.
Proven skills in grounds maintenance tasks on varied terrains.
Familiarity with operating characteristics of tractors and towed equipment.
Must possess or be able to obtain state/government driver licenses.

Responsibilities

Operate farm-type tractors and attached equipment such as mowers, chippers, sprayers, and backhoes.
Control equipment via hydraulic/mechanical systems from the tractor seat.
Perform routine operator maintenance on tractors and gear.
Work on open fields, golf courses, lawns, and along roadways.
Follow safety practices and wear issued safety equipment.
Receive assignments from supervisor and complete related duties as needed.
