Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to perform modeling and analysis of MW/MT/MD sensor systems and related architectures. You will work across a broad range of simulation tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust sensor performance assessments.

Qualifications include a STEM degree, 1+ year of space systems or algorithm experience, and proficiency in Matlab/C/C++/Java/Python or FORTRAN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of applicable educational or professional experience with space systems or algorithms.
• Experience with physics-based state models and state estimation techniques.
• Experience programming in Matlab, C, C++, Java, Python or FORTRAN.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling and analysis of MW/MT/MD sensors and systems and their broader system-of-systems architectures.
• Conduct a range of analysis using modeling, simulation and analysis capabilities (in-house, custom, and government tools).
• Analyze the performance of sensors such as EO, radar and passive RF sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms.
• Develop and implement radar, lidar, and/or related tracking algorithms and improve modeling/simulation tools.
• Develop computer tools and simulations to support analyses and perform systems engineering trades assessments.
