Job summary

Thompson Concrete is seeking a Track Hoe Operator to safely and efficiently operate excavators on our commercial concrete projects in Ohio. The role supports site prep, excavation, backfill, grading, material handling, and demolition assistance, working closely with foremen, superintendents, laborers, finishers, and other crew members.

Responsibilities include operating track hoes and related equipment, performing trenching and grading, reading site plans and grade stakes, conducting daily

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating track hoes or excavators on commercial construction.
• Safety-focused with ability to work around utilities and active job sites.
• Strong communication and teamwork with foremen and crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate track hoes, excavators, and related equipment on commercial concrete projects.
• Perform excavation, trenching, footing excavation, grading, backfill, and material movement as directed.
• Read and understand site plans, grade stakes, elevations, and instructions from field leadership.
• Coordinate with foremen, superintendents, laborers, finishers, and other operators to keep the job moving safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Maintain awareness of underground utilities, overhead hazards, and changing jobsite conditions.
• Set up safe digging areas, access paths, spoil piles, staging areas, and jobsite logistics.
• Support concrete crews by preparing work areas and maintaining production flow.
